 Square plot

A plot with equal length and width is considered as an ideal site for construction. As per Vaastu, it ensures all round growth, prosperity and happiness. In ancient time, houses were designed around a central square courtyard, for better ventilation, a square plot was considered the most suitable.
Rectangle plot
A plot having the length and width in 1:2 ration are considered good. If the length faces north and width faces west, it would be considered more suitable. Such plots are considered to bestow good health, wealth and prosperity upon the residents. Like in a square site, it is easy to design a square or rectangle shaped house in such plot with extra space used for trees, outhouse etc and hence is not wasted.
Triangular plot
The Triangle shaped plot is not good. Such sites are considered as sites where there will always be fear of fire.
Circular/Elliptical/Oval Plots
Such shapes are not considered good for construction of houses. According to Vaastu, such plots would bring bad luck to the owners.
Plots With more than 4 sides
Pentagon, Hexagon, Octagon shaped plots should be avoided for construction of house. People in such plots always live in fear.
Gou-mukhi plot
A plot that is narrow in the front and wide at the back is called Gou Mukhi. Such plot is considered auspicious for residential purpose. Such plots bring prosperity to the house owners.
Simha-mukhi plot
A plot that is wide in the front or entrance and narrow at the back is known as Simha Mukhi plot. Such plots are considered inauspicious for residential purpose but are suitable for commercial purpose.
Plots with corners cut
Plots with a missing corner should not be purchased for any reason. If you must, then do so with proper consultation of an Expert Vaastu Shastri. Plots with cut corners are considered inauspicious.
Plots with projections or extensions
The plots with extension in the North or East or North-East are considered good. Other extensions are considered as inauspicious. Plots with extensions in the North-West, South-East or South-West are not considered good, they bring bad luck to the owners.

समान लंबाई और चौड़ाई वाले भूखंड को निर्माण के लिए एक आदर्श स्थल माना जाता है। वास्तु के अनुसार, यह सर्वांगीण विकास, समृद्धि और खुशी सुनिश्चित करता है। प्राचीन समय में घरों को एक केंद्रीय वर्गाकार आंगन के चारों ओर डिजाइन किया जाता था, बेहतर वेंटिलेशन के लिए एक वर्गाकार भूखंड को सबसे उपयुक्त माना जाता था।
आयत प्लॉट
1:2 राशन में लंबाई और चौड़ाई वाले प्लॉट को अच्छा माना जाता है। यदि लंबाई उत्तर की ओर और चौड़ाई पश्चिम की ओर है, तो इसे अधिक उपयुक्त माना जाएगा। ऐसे भूखंडों को निवासियों को अच्छे स्वास्थ्य, धन और समृद्धि प्रदान करने के लिए माना जाता है। एक वर्गाकार साइट की तरह, इस तरह के भूखंड में पेड़ों, आउटहाउस आदि के लिए अतिरिक्त जगह के साथ एक वर्ग या आयत के आकार का घर डिजाइन करना आसान है और इसलिए यह बर्बाद नहीं होता है।
त्रिकोणीय भूखंड
त्रिभुज के आकार का प्लॉट अच्छा नहीं है। ऐसे स्थल ऐसे स्थल माने जाते हैं जहां हमेशा आग लगने का भय बना रहता है।
वृत्ताकार/अण्डाकार/अंडाकार भूखंड
ऐसी आकृतियों को मकान बनाने के लिए अच्छा नहीं माना जाता है। वास्तु के अनुसार, ऐसे भूखंड मालिकों के लिए दुर्भाग्य लेकर आएंगे।
4 से अधिक पक्षों वाले प्लॉट
घर के निर्माण के लिए पेंटागन, षट्भुज, अष्टकोण आकार के भूखंडों से बचना चाहिए। ऐसे भूखंडों में रहने वाले लोग हमेशा दहशत में रहते हैं।
गौ-मुखी प्लॉट
वह भूखंड जो आगे से संकरा और पीछे चौड़ा हो, गौ मुखी कहलाता है। ऐसे प्लॉट को आवासीय उद्देश्य के लिए शुभ माना जाता है। ऐसे भूखंड मकान मालिकों के लिए समृद्धि लाते हैं।
सिंह मुखी प्लॉट
एक भूखंड जो आगे या प्रवेश द्वार पर चौड़ा और पीछे की ओर संकरा हो, सिंह मुखी भूखंड के रूप में जाना जाता है। ऐसे भूखंड आवासीय उद्देश्य के लिए अशुभ माने जाते हैं लेकिन व्यावसायिक उद्देश्य के लिए उपयुक्त होते हैं।
कोनों में कटौती के साथ प्लॉट
किसी भी कारण से लापता कोने वाले भूखंडों की खरीद नहीं की जानी चाहिए। यदि आपको करना ही है, तो विशेषज्ञ वास्तु शास्त्री के उचित परामर्श से ऐसा करें। कटे हुए कोनों वाले भूखंडों को अशुभ माना जाता है।
अनुमानों या एक्सटेंशन वाले प्लॉट
उत्तर या पूर्व या उत्तर-पूर्व में विस्तार वाले भूखंडों को अच्छा माना जाता है। अन्य एक्सटेंशन को अशुभ माना जाता है। उत्तर-पश्चिम, दक्षिण-पूर्व या दक्षिण-पश्चिम में विस्तार वाले भूखंडों को अच्छा नहीं माना जाता है, वे मालिकों के लिए दुर्भाग्य लाते हैं।
